Sunrise (Sheipa Honey Black Tea)
Famous for honey sweetness, Sheipa Honey Black Tea grows in a pollution-free environment, and its honey aroma is induced by the infestation of small green leafhoppers. The infestation of green leafhoppers guarantees that the tea plantation is organic. The green leafhoppers suck the phloem juices of the stems, leaves, and buds of the tea trees. It causes chemical changes of the tea leaves and produces hotrienol and monoterpene diol which give the tea aromatic honey-sweet flavor.
The harvest of this bug-bitten tea is limited to the summer with low yield and great quality. The short harvest makes Sunrise black tea so precious. The plantation of honey-aroma black tea is located at 2000~2300 meters altitude of Snow Mountain Range. Watered by cold spring creek and organically grown, the best tip Oolong tea leaves are fermented and well-rolled into unique ball-shaped black tea.
